ABOUT JIA
Jessup Improvement Association (JIA) is dedicated to improving quality of life in greater Jessup. The Association also acts as a liaison to our state and local officials and the surrounding community associations. The Association’s concerns cover a wide variety of issues including land use, zoning, traffic, schools, public facilities, recreation and youth programs and activities. All eligible persons are encouraged to join and provide input and ideas.
Membership
Membership in the Jessup Improvement Association is open to any resident or property owner over 18 years of age in the area bounded by Dorsey Road (Maryland Route 176) to the north, Ridge Road (Maryland Route 713) to the east (not including Fort Meade), MD Route 32 to the south and US Route 1 to the west, includes Anne Arundel and Howard Counties and the smaller communities of Hanover, Dorsey, Montevideo, Champion Forest, Georgetown, Dorchester, McCarron Estates, Holiday Mobile Estates, Ridgewood Estates and Ridgefield. Membership is also open to the families of any student attending Jessup Elementary School.
Annual dues are $10.00 for individuals.

As soon as your membership is processed you will receive your membership card.
JIA Meetings
JIA meetings are held in the Jessup Community Hall
located at the corner of Route 175 and Wigley Avenue
General Membership Meetings are held the 4th Monday of January, April, July and October.
The Board of Directors meets the 2nd Monday of the month or 3rd Monday, if a holiday.

Event Space
The community hall is a climate controlled open customizable 30 ft by 100 ft space with the capacity to accommodate 125 people easily for dining, dancing, meetings, or training events.
Available Amenities
Full service commercial kitchen, a bar area with a commercial ice maker and a coat area. Tables (without linens) and chairs are also available for your use. The hall has ample parking.
Rental fees for the JIA hall start at $950 for 4 hours, with a required $300 deposit.
Rentals include 2 hours for set up and 2 hours for clean up*.
Events are require to be out no later then 10 PM.
The Hall holds up to 125 people and the rental includes use of tables and chairs.
*If the hall does not pass a cleaning inspection, fines will be charged.
A cleaning service can be provided for an additional fee.
